'SMART CART'. Coming to a Store Near You... (VIDEOS)

Isn't there an app for that? ;)

If you haven't heard by now, Canadian grocery chain, Sobeys, is creating something that is said to be the first of its kind in Canada. It's called the Smart Cart and no, it is not a substitution for workers of the human kind. At least, so it has been said. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm still trying to avoid self-check outs just for that sole purpose.

In the meantime, check out (get it?) more in the video below...

And if all that isn't good enough for your lazy ass for you, perhaps a Drive-thru supermarket is more up your 'aisle'. ...

Still ain't cuttin' it? Then this autonomous supermarket on wheels should do the trick...

The Most Popular Baby Name in Ontario is... OLIVIA! (Infographic + Full List)

Olivia again? Yup! According to Service Ontario, Olivia was the most popular baby name in Ontario in 2015 - and five years in a row!

For boys, it was Liam that took top spot.

Brand new names added to the list this year includes Tenley, Riaan and Eason.

It also seems like old is becoming new again with such names as Hazel, Everett, and Theodore slowly on the rise.
Ontario's most popular baby names are slowly changing, with new names rising up the list. Charlotte and Henry are the fastest-rising baby names, with Henry rising 83 times and Charlotte 105 times their previous popularity.

WIRT: A Canadian Model With VITILIGO Is Changing the Face of Fashion

Today I came across a few articles online about a Canadian model who has Vitiligo – the skin disease that probably the late Michael Jackson suffered from.

Vitiligo is a chronic skin disease where portions of the skin have white patches due to skin pigment loss, sort of like when someone suffers from 3-degree burns, but more pronounced. It occurs when skin pigment cells die or are unable to function. The cause is unknown but few theories range from autoimmunity, genetics to viral causes. There is no cure.

Canadian-born model, Winnie Harlow (real name Chantelle Young-Brown) from Etobicoke, Ontario, has this disease but has not let it hold her back in life. She was a former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant and although she did not win, her attitude was right on track even then as she told The New York Post in a 2014 article:

“[There was] an uproar on social media. I said, ‘Calm down. It’s just a show — and a reality show at that.’ I was cracking up.”
